The Government Has Announced The Winner Of The WK Migas Sangkar, Bunga And Peri Mahakam Auction

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has determined the winner of the 2022 Phase II Oil and Gas Direct Offering Auction (WK) for the Sangkar, Bunga and Peri Mahakam Working Area today, Wednesday, February 22. The third auction of the WK starts on November 23, 2022 and ends January 6, 2023.

Director General of Oil and Gas of Tutuka Ariadji in his remarks detailed, WK Bunga is located in the sea of East Java Province with an area of 8,500 km2 and a potential oil and gas resource of 1,300 MMBOE. WK Bunga was won by the Consortium of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi and Posco International Corporation with a signature bonus of 100,000 US dollars and a definite commitment for the first 3 years of exploration of 4 million US dollars.

Meanwhile, WK Peri Mahakam, located in the oceans and mainland, East Kalimantan Province, with an area of 7,414.43 km2 and a potential oil and gas resource of 1,300 MMBOE. This WK was won by PT Pertamina Helu Energi and Eni Indonesia Limited with a bonus signature of 50,000 US dollars and a total commitment for the first 3 years of exploration of 7.2 million US dollars.

Third, Sangkar WK, located in the oceans and mainland of East Java and Central Java Provinces, with an area of 8,122.58 km2 and a potential for petroleum resources of 130 MMBO and natural gas of 300 BCF. This WK was won by PT Saka Exploration Timur with a signature bonus of 50,000 and a total commitment of USD 3 million.

"With the determination of the winner of this auction, the total total commitment of the first 3 years of exploration of the 3 WKs is 14.2 million US dollars and the total bonus signature is 200,000 US dollars," Tutuka closed his remarks, Wednesday, February 22.

Currently, the Regular Auction, namely WK Bose, is still running.

"For Business Entities and Permanent Business Forms who are interested, registration and access to Bid Documents is carried out through the online website of the Oil and Gas Working Area auction according to the schedule on the ESDM website," concluded Tutuka.
