JAKARTA - Director of Information Development and Technology of PT Resurance Indonesia Utama (Persero)/Indonesia Re, Beatrix Santi Anugrah, inaugurated the extension of the BUMN Goes to Campus Digital Forum (Fordigi) with the Ministry of SOEs in Jakarta, Wednesday 18 January.

In his presentation, Beatrix as the head of the 4 ecosystem development field explained the role of SOEs in encouraging Indonesia to be included in digital transformation, one of which is by looking for digital talents from all generations.

"The role of the Ministry of SOEs and Fordigi in field 4 is to support the government to build a digital ecosystem in order to encourage the fulfillment of digital talent needs," said Beatrix at the 2023 Metaverse Show activity at Telkom Landmark, quoted by VOI, Saturday, January 21.

According to Beatrix, the availability of digital talent is an important and very necessary step, especially in encouraging companies or industries to avoid the failure of the process of transforming into the digital world.

Because, this is one of the challenges in driving digital transformation.

"In my opinion, this is due to the inadequate content of talent to encourage digital transformation. This is the main thing for our mind, how do we build a digital ecosystem that encourages the fulfillment of digital talent needs in the next 15 years," he said.

To get quality digital talent, Beatrix revealed that the ecosystem development sector will conduct a big program, namely Fordigi BUMN Goes to Campus.

Later, Fordigi Goes to Campus will run for the next 7 to 8 months by visiting 10 universities in 10 major cities in Indonesia.

"There are two major activity mechanisms, namely Seminar Hybrid and IT Hackathon Challenge. So we organize a hybrid seminar and the IT Hackathon competition for students there, the goal is to provide useful learning, by inviting advanced start-ups," said Beatrix.

Beatrix said this activity will help students or prospective digital talents to be able to gain a lot of diverse knowledge to carry their responsibility.

"The plan is that the IT Hackathon competition will carry 10 themes that depart from the issues that occur in their respective cities and we challenge student friends to be able to answer this problem. So that later it can be implemented by the surrounding community to help the city grow, healthy, and can solve local problems there," he explained.

The Fordigi BUMN Goes to Campus 2023 activity will be held at the end of February or around the beginning of March 2023.
