Ryu Seung Ryong And Kal So Won Tell Their Experience When They Arrive In Indonesia

JAKARTA - A South Korean actor, Ryu Seung Ryong, and young actress Kal So Won shared their experiences when visiting Indonesia in the series of Galanner 2nd Miracle In Cell No.7 events. Both are stars in Miracle In Cell No.7.

When they arrived in Indonesia, the two seemed enthusiastic about telling their experiences about Indonesian culture, their distinctive food, and their emotional attachment to the film Miracle In Cell No.7 which many viewers still remember, even though it has been more than a decade since it first aired.

Ryu Seung Ryong started his story by conveying a positive impression about Indonesian people.

"The experience for me Indonesians is friendly," he said, when met by SKYE Bar & Restaurant, Central Jakarta, on Friday, December 20, 2024.

Ryu Seung Ryong also admires the advancement of transportation technology in Indonesia, especially online motorcycle taxi services that are very popular.

"Both are amazing because there are no online motorcycle taxis in Korea," said Ryu, who showed how interesting the phenomenon was.

In addition, Ryu also talked about the Indonesian food he had tried. Starting from fried rice, chicken satay, to rabbits satay.

"I've tried fried rice and the chicken satay tastes really good, plus the rabbits satay is also really good," he said enthusiastically.

Ryu Seung Ryong continued his chat by discussing his role in the film Miracle In Cell No.7, which is one of the most touching South Korean films.

"Personally, Miracle in Cell No 7 is very touching because any story must have a father and son figure. So relate and really touching," he said.

The film, which was released in 2013, still leaves a deep impression on the hearts of the audience, including in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Kal So Won, who plays the girl in the film, also shares experiences about films that change her life.

"So Miracle in Cell No. 7 in Korea has aired in 2013 and decades have passed. But people still remember me with the role I played," he said with gratitude.

For Kal So Won, his role in the film is a very memorable memory.

"And Falcon contacted me, this impressed me. Because when I played the character in 2013, I was still small, I didn't understand that people praised me. So it just felt more ordinary. After I grew up feeling it," he recalled.

This change in perception of audience appreciation shows how big the impact of Miracle in Cell No.7 on Kal So Won's personal life is.

Kal So Won also shared about the impression of the Indonesian atmosphere that felt familiar to him.

"I live in Jeju. On Jeju Island, many coconut trees are very much the same as Indonesia, which has many coconut trees. So the atmosphere is familiar." he said.

Apart from Ryu Seung Ryong and Kal So Won, film director Lee Hwan Kyung is also present.
