JAKARTA - The movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) is predicted to continue its weakening on Monday, August 15, after closing down 0.43 percent last weekend at 7,129.27.

Artha Sekuritas analyst Dennies Christopher Jordan explained that the JCI closed with a fairly limited range due to profit taking by investors ahead of last weekend's holiday.

"The JCI is still moving due to the release season for issuers' performance reports as of the first semester of 2022," said Dennies, in his research.

Dennis predicts the JCI will weaken today. Technically, forming a lower high and a lower low accompanied by a stochastic forming a dead cross indicates a potential short-term weakening.

According to Dennies, at the beginning of the week investors will pay close attention to some economic data, especially the trade balance.

"Besides, the market is expected to move limitedly due to fewer trading days this week," he said.
