BNI Distributes Business Loans For Two Diaspora In Canada Through New York Branch

JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) reached a business agreement with two Indonesian diaspora in Canada regarding the disbursement of business loans. This credit disbursement goes to Axia Distribution located in Vancouver and Nai-Nai Noodles located in Toronto.

"This is a form of optimizing the business potential of the diaspora community through our contribution in the form of providing diaspora loan facility products," said BNI Treasury and International Director Henry Panjaitan in an official statement, Monday, July 25.

According to Henry, the loan disbursement was carried out through the BNI New York Branch, United States (US) as the closest representative office.

"With the mandate we received as a global bank from Indonesia, of course, we will develop more innovations and business relationships to expand Indonesian businesses, especially to the United States and Canada," he said.

Henry ensures that the diaspora loan is designed comprehensively and prudently to accommodate the needs of the Indonesian people in developing their business abroad.

"So far the diaspora loan services that the company has developed have effectively reached a number of countries, such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, the UK and the United States," he said.

Furthermore, Henry explained that Axia Distribution is a company owned by the Indonesian diaspora and has been established since 2004 in Vancouver. This company imports kitchen rugs from Indonesia for sale in Canada and the United States.

Meanwhile, Nai-Nai Noodles is a restaurant that sells food in the form of Indonesian chicken noodles, which was founded two years ago by the Indonesian diaspora in Toronto named Sherlin.

Meanwhile, for the virtual signing of the commitment, Sherlin from Nai-Nai Noodles revealed that he felt very helpful and grateful for BNI New York's support for its small and medium businesses.

Meanwhile, Axia Distribution stated that the loan from BNI New York was very helpful in developing its business business.

On the same occasion, the Indonesian Ambassador to Canada Daniel Tumpal Simanjuntak expressed his appreciation for BNI's proactive steps. According to him, the government-controlled bank is expected to be able to target more business potential from the Indonesian diaspora in Canada, which numbers around 21.000 people.

"The Indonesian Embassy in Ottawa and the Indonesian Consulate General in Toronto and Vancouver greatly appreciate BNI New York which continues to be committed to facilitating the development of the Indonesian diaspora business in Canada," he said.
