Non-COVID-19 Business And IVF Services Increase The Net Profit Of Bunda Hospital Managers To IDR 315 Billion In 2021

JAKARTA - The management of Bunda hospital PT Bundamedik Tbk (BMHS) closed 2021 with a 49 percent increase in revenue from IDR 1.15 trillion to IDR 1.71 trillion. One of the pillars, all of the company's main business lines (non COVID businesses).

This growth also pushed the company's net profit to increase by 166 percent to IDR 315 billion until the fourth quarter of 2021 from the same period the previous year of IDR 118 billion. The company's strong fundamentals are also reflected in a healthy balance sheet, thus providing a large room for the company to drive the next phase of growth.

President Commissioner of BMHS dr. Ivan Sini, SpOG explained, his party always believes in the importance of strengthening business fundamentals for the company's long-term achievement, so that the pandemic does not stop us from continuing to realize national expansion targets and strengthening core business in the BMHS ecosystem.

"Until 2021, BMHS has been able to serve nearly 150 million people spread across 10 provinces through the presence of 6 hospitals, 10 Morula IVF clinics and 34 diagnostic laboratory networks," Ivan said in his statement, Tuesday, May 17.

In detail, 67 percent of the total BMHS revenue growth during 2021 came from hospital service revenues, which rose 47 percent to IDR 376 billion. Meanwhile, Morula IVF, which is also one of BMHS' main businesses, contributed 30 percent to the total consolidated revenue during 2021, with a 50 percent increase to IDR 169 billion.

"Overall, revenue from non-COVID services rose by 27 percent," Ivan added.

During 2021, BMHS will aggressively expand its business nationally, both organically and through acquisitions, in line with strengthening the company's fundamentals in the long term. All of BMHS' main business lines have successfully recorded a number of important achievements during 2021.

Bunda Group Hospital has successfully opened two maternal and child hospitals in Bali and Palembang in the midst of the pandemic. As of 2021, the total number of beds in the Bunda General Hospital will increase by 42 percent. In early 2022, as a pioneer in the development of robotic surgery innovation in Indonesia, Bunda Hospital also successfully performed the first robotic surgery in Indonesia for prostate removal.

Furthermore, Morula IVF services, which have been the leading IVF service provider for more than 20 years, have grown by 42 percent. On the other hand, BMHS's laboratory business unit, Diagnos, has doubled with the addition of 19 new laboratories in the same year.

"Meanwhile, the total non-COVID tests carried out by Diagnos also increased by 59 percent during 2021," said Ivan.

On the other hand, in an effort to strengthen core business fundamentals, BMHS is also intensively strengthening cooperation with strategic partners. In addition to significantly adding insurance partners, during 2021 BMHS has collaborated with 150 Smart Clinics and 100 Indonesian Fertility Clinics.

We hope that through collaboration, education and research carried out by the two entities, we can contribute to increasing and sharpening the capabilities and skills of medical personnel in Indonesia," said Ivan.
