JAKARTA - AirAsia is said to have reactivated (reactivated) 11 international flight routes to and from Indonesia at the end of this month.

AirAsia Indonesia President Director, Veranita Yosephine, said this decision was made in line with the 2022 Eid al-Fitr holiday season as well as the mobility easing policy that allows people to travel while maintaining health protocols.

"We are very grateful to the government and aviation authorities in Indonesia and countries in Southeast Asia and Australia who continue to support the revival of air transportation in the region", she said in an official statement quoted Monday, April 25.

According to Veranita, the regulations regarding the relaxation of international travel requirements, the abolition of quarantine for travelers who have been fully vaccinated and boosters, as well as the ease of visa exemption are strong drivers for the recovery of the aviation transportation industry sector.

"This policy has significantly increased the interest of the international community to travel to Indonesia and conversely facilitated the visit of Indonesian people abroad for business purposes, which we believe will have an exponential impact on accelerating Indonesia's economic recovery", she said.

Furthermore, Veranita explained that the reactivation of 11 international routes would significantly increase the capacity of the number of available seats for AirAsia to and from Indonesia to more than 48,000 seats per week.

"The reactivation of these 11 routes will increase the total number of AirAsia international routes to and from Indonesia to 17 routes, which are operated by AirAsia Indonesia (flight code QZ), AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK), and AirAsia Thailand (flight code FD). In addition, currently, AirAsia also operates on 12 domestic routes in Indonesia",c he insisted.

The following is the complete route for AirAsia international flights to and from Indonesia which took effect last weekend.
