Bank Jago, Company Owned By Conglomerates Jerry Ng And Patrick Walujo Launch Sharia Digital Services Today

JAKARTA - The banking company owned by conglomerates Jerry Ng and Patrick Walujo, PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) launched its sharia digital service application, today, Tuesday 22 February.

In the company's official statement, it was stated that since launching the Jago application in April 2021, Bank Jago's management has observed the high consumer demand for Islamic digital banking services.

"The public has given a lot of input about the need for the presence of a sharia digital application that is qualified and has the same quality as conventional bank applications," wrote Bank Jago management.

Reflecting on this need, Bank Jago was moved to launch the Jago Syariah application which has the same quality as conventional Jago, including the superior features of Pockets (Pockets) and the ability to integrate with other digital applications such as Bibit, Gojek, and Gopay.

It is known, Bank Jago has announced its entry into the sharia segment in September 2021. This step is due to observing the large potential of Islamic banks in Indonesia.

This is reflected in the achievements of the Islamic banking industry in the first semester of 2021. Data from the Financial Services Authority shows that the assets of Islamic banks and UUS rose 15.87 percent with third-party funds increasing 16.55 percent to IDR 491.1 trillion.
