Aston Villa Defeats And Moves Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur lost their third consecutive defeat. In a duel at home at Tottenham Hotpur Stadium, Sunday, November 26 evening WIB, Aston Villa defeated Tottenham. The victory also made Villa shift their rivals.

Tottenham again failed to maintain performance. After a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the London Derby last October, Tottenham experienced a decline.

This made Tottenham lose twice in a row. The match against Aston Villa is actually an opportunity for Tottenham to break that bad trend. But they actually lost third.

These results made Tottenham not only fail to shift Liverpool due to defeat. They, on the other hand, even dropped because they only had 26 points.

Villa, who beat Tottenham, managed to move up to fourth place or enter the Champions League zone after pocketing 28. Same as Liverpool but The Villans lost on goal difference.

In that match, Tottenham actually started well. They took the lead when midfielder Giovani Lo Celso scored a 22nd minute goal. He managed to finish the assist from Pedro Porro.

Only two minutes later, striker total Watkins managed to equalize. Only the referee who reviewed the goal through VAR did not approve it. Watkins' minute referee was in an offside position when he broke into the hosts' goal.

Torres' header also rolled hard into Tottenham's goal. Despite having time to review it via VAR, the referee still approved the goal. The score changed 1-1 for both teams when the first half was over.

In the second half, Villa began to rise. They were more in control of the game. Until finally, Watkins scored a goal that became Villa's victory.

Watkins' right-footed shot when he received an assist from Youri Tielemans led to a goal created in the 62nd minute.
