JAKARTA - The opening ceremony of the 2023 U-17 World Cup was successfully held at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), Surabaya on Friday, November 10 evening WIIB. Although short, this agenda was lively.

The agenda for the opening ceremony was held at 18.30 WIB by presenting the performance of singer Wika Salim and actress Aurelie Moeremans.

Before the two performers entered the stage, the splendor of the GBT Stadium was colored by the game of the lights made in such a way.

Not long ago, the roar of the audience echoed welcoming the presence of Aurelie Moeremans. At this moment the actress performed the song No Comment which was popularized by Bunda Corla.

After that it was Wika Salim's turn to appear to control the stage. This dangdut singer opened her appearance by performing the song Rungkad. Then Wika also sang the official song of the U-17 World Cup entitled Bersama Garuda (We Are Together).

When Wika Salim was about to close the action on the stage, fireworks appeared to decorate the black Surabaya sky. The moment added to the joy at the GBT Stadium.

The opening of the 2023 U-17 World Cup was also attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo and the President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino.

Before the opening ceremony was held, the GBT Stadium first held a match between Panama U-17 vs Morocco U-17. The match ended with a score of 2-0 for Morocco's U-17 victory.
