JAKARTA - Al Ittihad officially sacked his coach, Espirito Santo following a 0-2 defeat to Al Quwa Al Jawiya in the Asian Champions League group stage match. Behind the defeat, another factor was revealed that there was a noisy moment between the coach and Karim Benzema which was the cause of Santo's dismissal.

The coach then said that Benzema should be an example for other players because he has a classy background as a star player.

Instead, Al Ittihad reportedly intends to bring in a French coach to make Benzema comfortable. Of the many options, former Lyon coach Laurent Blanc is said to be a strong candidate to replace Espirito Santo.
