Champions League Preview Galatasaray Vs Bayern Munich: Betting on Unbeaten Record

JAKARTA – Bayern Munich will play an away match at Galatasaray headquarters for the third matchday of the European Champions League group phase of the 2023/2024 season.

The continued clash in Group A will be held at RAMS Park, Istanbul, Turkey, Tuesday, October 24 at 23.45 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Both teams will be risking their unbeaten records.

On the second matchday, Galatasaray left Manchester United (MU) headquarters, Old Trafford, with a surprising 3-2 win. Meanwhile, Bayern came from behind to sink Copenhagen 2-1.

During their visit to MU's home ground, Galatasaray fell behind twice thanks to Rasmus Hojlund's two goals. They then equalized successively through Wilfried Zaha and Kerem Akturkoglu before Mauro Icardi made the difference.

Before that, they had already come back from two goals down against Copenhagen to secure a 2-2 draw. This series of results has seen them collect four points so far and sit in second place in the group standings, two points behind Die Roten.

Meanwhile, before the dramatic victory against Copenhagen, Bayern first had a thrilling match against MU in the first match. They finally won 4-3 in that fierce match.

This result means that Bayern still has a perfect record of being unbeaten in two matches and successfully collecting six points. The results make them quite the favorites when they visit Turkey later.

Apart from that, the victory over Copenhagen marked a perfect October for Bayern so far. In total, of the four matches played, three of them were won, while the other one ended in a draw.

Thomas Tuchel's troops got two other wins in the last two league matches against Freiburg and Mainz 05. In the two most recent results, they scored a total of six goals and only conceded one goal in the last match against Mainz.

The two latest wins saw Bayern collect twenty points from eight 2023/2024 Bundesliga matches. This is the best start for The Bavarians in the domestic arena since the 2016/2017 season.

Meanwhile, if they are successful at Galatasaray's headquarters, it will be their 20th win in their last 24 European Champions League away matches. This result will also open up the opportunity for them to advance to the knockout phase.
