JAKARTA The candidate for naturalization of the Indonesian national team who is defending Italian club Venezia, Jay Idzes, has lung problems.

The club in its official statement on Thursday, October 19, said Jay was diagnosed with venous thrombosis with a pulmonary micro embolism.

"Venezia FC announced that Jay Idzes was hit by venous thrombosis with a micro pulmonary embolism," Venezia said in a statement quoted on Friday, October 20, 2023.

Pulmonary embolism is a blockage in one of the pulmonalis arteries in the lungs. In most cases, pulmonary embolism is caused by blood clots flowing into the lungs from the deep veins in the legs, or in rare cases, from veins in other parts of the body (deep vetin thrombosis).

Because clots block blood flow into the lungs, pulmonary embolism can be life-threatening. The cause of pulmonary embolism generally occurs due to bubbles of air or blood clots that appear there is more than one.

This problem made Jay also underwent hospitalization at Giovanni XXIII at Monastier. His condition has now improved and has been sent home.

"The intervention of the club's medical staff allows to achieve rapid diagnosis and regulate proper therapy," Venezia wrote.

"Currently Idzes has been sent home and in good physical condition. The recovery time to return to the competitive activities of this 23-year-old player will be determined on the next medical and health follow-up," they added.
