Deontay Wilder Is Still Busy Looking For A Tanding Opponent, Andy Ruiz Jr. Proposes

JAKARTA - Former heavyweight world champion Andy Ruiz Jr is ready to appear as a challenger for Deontay Wilder. Ruiz revealed this readiness in the midst of Wilder's difficult situation to find opponents.

Ruiz recently complained that he had been absent in the ring for a long time. It's been more than a year since the boxer from the United States has not been in the ring.

The last time he fought was to beat Luis Ortiz through an absolute 12-round decision held at the crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles.

Ruiz is actually expected to fight Deontay Wilder earlier this year. But both did not reach an agreement in terms of payment.

Ruiz has repeatedly said that Wilder's team had underestimated him because of the agreement that never happened. Even though after that Wilder also had not found the right opponent.

This situation is what Ruiz tries to take advantage of to challenge Wilder again.

"Everyone is asking when I will fight?" Ruiz said in a video uploaded on Instagram quoted from TalkSport, Friday, September 22.

"When will I fight? Why don't I fight with Wilder? Nobody wants to fight. I'm still ready, honey," he continued.

In addition to challenging Wilder, Ruiz also mentioned names such as Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk, and Tyson Fury. They are challenged to enter the ring even though it is difficult to realize.

"Tell Joshua, let's do the trilogy. Tell Wilder I'm ready. Make me a new contract. Usyk, Tyson Fury, everyone wants to take a shortcut. But I'm here, honey, we're working," Ruiz said.

Ruiz could not fight any of the names before the end of this year, unless there is an agreement with Wilder.

Usyk is determined to unite the heavyweight division against Fury who is in turn scheduled to fight former UFC star Francis Ngannou in a very well-known crossover fight on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.

To fight Anthony Joshua is also unlikely because he has had talks with Wilder for a fight that will take place in Saudi Arabia early next year. But the negotiations recently seem to be deadlocked.
