Jurgen Klopp Impossible To Leave Liverpool For The German National Team Because Of This

JAKARTA - Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will not leave the team anytime soon. Klopp's agent, Marc Kosicke, said his client was already under a long contract at Anfield.

Kosicke's statement surfaced following a widespread issue that Klopp would replace Hansi Flick in the German national team.

The German Football Federation (DFB) previously kicked Flick out because Der Panzer lost 1-4 to Japan in a test match at VW Arena, Wolfsburg, last Sunday 10 September.

The vacant coach's seat is temporarily filled by Rudi Voeller. He will serve as long as DFB gets a new coach.

Several names appeared, including Klopp. However, Kosicke firmly denied it.

He said his client would remain at Liverpool with a contract that was still ongoing until the end of June 2026.

"He (Jurgen Klopp) has a long-term contract with Liverpool. He is not available for the national coaching position," said Marc Kosicke as quoted by Sportskeeda, Thursday, September 14.

Klopp himself was reluctant to respond to reports of the opportunity for him to coach the German national team excessively. He chose to build a long-term project with the Reds.

Since his arrival to Liverpool in October 2015, Klopp has been able to have a big impact. It is proven that the 56-year-old coach was able to give various titles including the Premier League and Champions League.

Meanwhile, the President of DFB, Bernd Neuendorf said that his party had tried to recruit target coaches to handle the German national team, including Jurgen Klopp.

However, according to him, DFB did not actually hold serious talks with Klopp for the position.

"Throughout the year there has always been contact with the coaches on our list. Of course you also make contact (with Klopp), but that's not a serious negotiation," explained Bernd Neuendorf.
