Ferrari Weaknesses Revealed In F1 2023 To Be Beaten By Aston Martin

JAKARTA - The Ferrari car performance in Formula One (F1) 2023 is far from satisfactory. In fact, the achievement of the Jingkark Horse team racer is still inferior to Aston Martin.

Ferrari currently occupies fourth place in the F1 2023 standings with 201 points. They are 14 points away from Aston Martin who is in third place.

Ferrari has only twice placed its rider on the podium through Charles Leclerc at the Austrian and Belgian GPs. It is far from Aston Martin, who has driven Fernando Alonso seven times on the podium.

Head of Chassis Ferrari Enrico Cardile later revealed the shortcomings of his team's car. He acknowledged "characteristic aero" was the main weakness of the SF-23 car.

Cardile also promised a development revolution in 2024 to make it easier for racers to win.

"Not much (change) but it will be very different because when we developed cars this year, we realized that some choices of architecture that we did were not right this was too hampering development," Cardile said, as reported by Antara.

In fact, Cardile has leaked a little information regarding their car for F1 2024. He said the Jingkark Horse team's land jets would have different chassis, design and rear, as well as development in the aero department.

"Now, for the future, what's important is to produce good products that match our targets. We know what we have to do. This is a matter of action, the problem of finding the right car content, the right car architecture to achieve the target," Cardile said.

Meanwhile, Leclerc admitted that he was looking forward to a significant car update to face Formula 1 for the 2024 season.

"I can't wait for that, considering I have a season to finish in 2023, but we can only focus on other things because cars are very difficult to drive. It's very difficult to reach the limit," Leclerc said, quoted from the official F1 website.
