Defending The Sister, Newcastle United Captain Jamaal Lasceles Beaten By A Group Of Thugs

JAKARTA - Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lasceles got a bad incident. He and his brother and a friend were beaten by a group of thugs.

This incident only lasted a few hours when Lasceles became a substitute who was not fielded when his team lost 0-1 to Manchester City on Sunday, August 20 at the Etihad Stadium.

British media, The Sun, reported the incident began when Lasceles' 19-year-old sister was followed in the throat as they left the Chinese nightclub.

The thugs also beat a friend of Lasceles until he was unconscious. They even threatened to shoot the defender.

According to eyewitnesses, the commotion broke out after Lasceles pushed the man who attacked his younger brother. The back's actions made him beaten from all over.

As a result of the commotion, Lasceles, who wore a green ball, was said to have suffered damage to his ear. However, he himself did not blow these thugs.

"There was blood coming out of his brother's mouth. One of the members of the Lasceles group fell to the ground and was then kicked in the face and passed out for more than ten minutes. He was being alerted when the police arrived," said a witness.

This incident prompted officers from the Northumbria Police to rush to the scene. No arrests were made, but investigations have also been deployed.

"Not long after 4 a.m. on Sunday, August 20, we received reports of chaos involving a number of people at Westgate Road in downtown Newcastle," a spokesman said.

"Officers arrived, but those involved had fled the scene before they arrived. The investigation is ongoing," he continued.

Lasceles joined Newcastle from Nottingham Forest in 2014. Recently he has been linked with his move to Turkish club Besiktas.

So far Newcastle is still refusing to comment on the incident.
