Ciputra Golfpreneur 2023 Tournament: Ho Yu-Cheng From Taiwan Soars On Day Three

JAKARTA - Ho Yu-Cheng (Taiwan) kicked Yuvraj Singh Sandhu (India) from the top of the standings on the third day of BNI Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament 2023 at Damai Indah Golf-BSD Course, South Tangerang, Friday (25/8). He took the lead with 197 punches or 19 under the par. However, the competition to win the title in the final is getting hotter.

Yu-Cheng played consistently for three days. Scored 66, 65, and 66 punches. On the second day, he topped the standings with Yuvraj with a score of 13 under the par.

My strategy is to try to put the ball on a fairway and take a second blow to a position that makes it easy to make beer. So far this classic strategy is going well," said Yu-Cheng.

I will only focus on my game and improve the score record. So, that's my target tomorrow. I will not think about finishing later, just focus on the game," said Yu-Cheng again.

Danny Masrin remains the local golfer who scored the best results during the Asian Development Tour (ADT) tournament with a total prize of US$125,000. On the third day he scored 71 punches or 1 under the par. Made 4 birdsies in hole 4, 6, 8, 14 and 3 bombseys in hole 1, 2, and 16.

My target is actually to play 10 to 12 under in the last two days. I know that I can beat well, just depending on the putting. One of the players in my group played 9 under, all the putting came in. Indeed, this is his day, hopefully tomorrow will be my day," said Danny, who plays in the group with Samarth.

Despite making two bombseys in the first hole, Danny can quickly return his game. He tries to focus on completing the next 16 holes and manages to maintain his consistency. He has a relationship with Galven Green (Malaysia), Joe Heraty (England), and Aaron Wilman (Australia).

Peter Gunawan, another Indonesian golfer has also played stably for three days. He collected 213 punches or 3 under the par after posting 71, 71, and 71 consecutively.

"I have to make sure to stay positive. In terms of technique and others, there are actually no complaints at all, even those that are usually problematic, sometimes putting and short game, today both are even good. Maybe I just have to putting more aggressively," said Peter, who is one of the Ciputra Golfpreneur Foundation players.

Apart from Danny and Peter, two other Indonesian golfers who will take part in the final round are Syukrizal and George Gandranata. Currently, Syukrizal occupies the position of T24 with 210 punches or 6 under the par. George collected 251 punches or 1 below and occupies the position of T51.
