JAKARTA - Italian racer Marco Bezzecki is faced with two difficult choices in MotoGP 2024.

He had to choose between staying in Valentino Rossi's team, tender VR46 Racing, without a new motorbike or getting the 2024 Desmodedici motorbike but had to leave the team that made his name.

Bezzecchi has wanted a manufacturer's motorbike for a long time. Ducati also admitted that the rider deserves to feel the sensation of the latest Desmodedici.

That's thanks to Bezzecki's success in winning two Grand Prix this season on a GP22 Desmosedici motorbike.

"To be honest, there is a possibility that he (Marco Bezzecki) will join Pramac, but that's not certain," Ducati Sports Director Paolo Ciabatti told Speedweek quoted from Crash on Wednesday, August 9.

"On the one hand, Pramac has a contract option to get the current factory engine for both drivers. If they use that option, we must respect it," continued Ciabatti.

However, according to Ciabatti, for internal reasons Ducati can only equip the four riders with the latest manufacturers. Because building more motorbikes will make the situation complicated.

The moment happened to Ducati in 2022, but the process didn't go well. At that time, Luca Marini got the fifth manufacturer's motorbike Ducati.

While this season the four newest machines have been used by the Pramac racer duo, Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco with manufacturer Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini.

This makes Bezzecki's desire to be able to ride a motorbike with the latest specs impossible. Unless he wants to change teams and if this option is taken, Zarco is likely to be sacrificed.

However, this situation is actually a dilemmaal choice and it is difficult for Bezzecki because of his love for the teacher's team, Valentino Rossi. For this reason, Bezzecki will likely choose to stay at thetangle VR46.

So far, the results of Bezzecki's collaboration with VR46 have been quite impressive, despite using Ducati's motorbike last season. This is evident from Ciabatti's praise.

"Kru VR46 did a good job. Bezzecchi is a racer they pole from Moto2, so that's a great combination with two Grand Prix wins," continued Ciabatti.

Regarding the final choice that Bezzecchi will take, Ciabatti left the entire decision to the 24-year-old rider to take a long step.

"Now he has to consider getting the latest manufacturer's motorbike. How does he decide to keep his question mark, and we don't force it," he said.
