JAKARTA - The Bali United host team is wary of the confidence of the visitors to Persik Kediri in the seventh week of the 2023/2024 Indonesian League 1 competition at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Monday (7/8).

"We are aware of their confidence because it is still good to win the previous match against PSM Makassar," said Bali United player Rahmat at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Sunday.

The visitors nicknamed the White Tiger on Thursday (3/8) beat PSM Makassar at BJ Habibie Stadium, Pare-pare, South Sulawesi with a score of 2-1.

Even so, the Serdadu Tridatu squad is determined not to miss points against Persik Kediri and hopes for support from the host supporters.

"We will work as hard as possible to win the match, especially tomorrow that supporters will be back at the Dipta Stadium, it will be something positive," added the left-wing Bali United striker.

Meanwhile, Bali United Head Coach Stefano Cugurra said his team had two training opportunities at the Purnama Beach Training Center, Gianyar Regency, after previously recovering after competing against Persib Bandung.

The match which took place at the Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Thursday (3/8), Bali United held Maung Bandung's draw with a score of 0-0 in two full rounds.

Even so, the Brazilian coach admitted that he had pocketed the quality of a number of Persik Kediri players and observed the visitors' game patterns.

"I myself know a lot of players from Persik because I have worked together, I already know their quality," added the coach who is familiarly called coach Teco as quoted by Antara.

He also did not underestimate the strength of the opposing team even though from the temporary points, Persik has seven points or three points behind Bali United who have collected 10 points temporarily.

"They just won in Pare-pare against PSM Makassar but we have to respect," he said.

Bali United is scheduled to host Persik Kediri at the Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, on Monday (7/8) at 20.00 WITA or 19.00 WIB.

Bali United is currently in fifth position with 10 points and Persik in 13th position with seven points in the 2023/2024 Indonesian League 1 standings.
