About Lionel Messi's Debut, Inter Miami Owner Gives Leaks Through A 'Code'

JAKARTA - Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas gave a leak about Lionel Messi's debut date. He implies a code for when the new club player will appear in Major League Soccer (MLS).

Quoted from TyCSports on Wednesday, June 21, Jorge Mas stated that July 21 was an important sign for MLS. Meanwhile, on that date, the club nicknamed The Herons will face Cruz Azul in the South Group 3 match in the League Cup.

The boss's statement that the date was an important day made some people believe Messi would appear in the match.

Jorge Mas himself has stated that he has prepared to anticipate the impact of Messi's presence at the club. He predicts the enthusiasm of supporters who will boom.

"We saw what happened when he (Lionel Messi) was here with the Argentine national team before the World Cup and I think he could bring himself well. We had the opportunity to see Messimania every day during training. So we were prepared. We were ready for that," said Mas.

Jorge Mas also said that Inter Miami is still preparing to increase strength. The new players will soon be brought into the club.

"We continue to prepare our squad, there is enormous flexibility. We will bring in more players in the summer, more than people expect. We don't have to dismantle our team or wash warehouses," he explained.

Although it is common knowledge that Messi has docked for Inter Miami, until now La Pulga has yet to sign a contract. After celebrating his birthday on June 24 and resting in his hometown, Messi is just scheduled to leave for the United States at the end of June.

The agenda for signing a cooperation contract with Inter Miami will take place after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain officially expires on June 30, 2023.
