JAKARTA - Manchester City scored an extraordinary achievement this year. The Treble winner was successfully achieved after securing the 2022/2023 Champions League trophy.

Not only that, history ended in creation. This is the first time The Citizens have lifted the Champions League trophy for 129 years in the founding of the club.

City got the Champions League trophy after winning 1-0 against Inter Milan in the 2022/2023 Champions League final at Ataturk Olympic Stadium, Istanbul Turkey, Saturday local time (Sunday morning WIB).

Rodri scored Manchester Blue's only goal after he successfully took advantage of the ball vomiting in the Inter penalty area in the 68th minute.

"We are making history," said Rodri as reported by the club's official website.

This is City's third title this season after previously winning the Premier League and English FA Cup.

Pep Guardiola's squad sealed the Premier League title after finishing 89 points at the top, five points clear of Arsenal in second.

For the FA Cup, Erling Haaland and his friends won the trophy after beating Manchester United 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.

"We make history, not only for the Champions League but with Treble," said Rodri, as quoted from Antara.

"We are making history in the UK and Europe and that is the step we need to make City the top team."

The 26-year-old midfielder said his team's achievements were not easily obtained. Moreover, in the Premier League itself, City has been in second place for months and has only been around the Gooners in first place in recent weeks.

"We also deserve it because it wasn't an easy year. There were ups and downs and a lot of doubt," said Rodri.

This season Rodri became the backbone of City to win the three trophies irreplaceablely guarding the midfield.

He made a total of 52 appearances spread over 36 in the Premier League, 12 in the Champions League, and four in the FA Cup. From this note, Rodri scored four goals and six assists.
