Menpora Make Sure There Are No More Polemics Of Israel's Presence At The Bali World Beach Games

JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, emphasized that until now there has been no more polemic about the presence of the Israeli Team at the 2023 World Beach Games or World Beach Sports which will be held in Bali.

According to Dito, everything was clear after he met with the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster and the NOC (Indonesian Olympic Committee) Raja Sapta Oktohari.

"No, yesterday I met with the governor of Koster with NOC, Governor Koster is clear, the spirit is thousand percent, there is no polemic," said Dito after Eid Al-Fitr prayer 1 Syawal 1444 H/2023 with the Golkar Party's extended family at the Ainul Hikmah Mosque, Golkar Party DPP Office, Slipi, West Jakarta, Saturday 22 April.

Dito Ariotedjo's meeting with Governor Koster was held at the Bali Governor's Office House, Denpasar on Friday. Dito was accompanied by Raja Sapta Oktohari.

As a result, there was an agreement between the two parties which gave birth to full support from the Bali Provincial Government for the implementation of the 2023 ANOC World Beach Games on the island of Bali.

Dito said his party would ensure the presence of the Israeli national team at the CdM Meeting at the end of April 2023. "Not certain, because later we will see on April 28, countries will officially attend the CdM meeting," said Dito.

Furthermore, Dito said that his party would ensure that the AWBG event in Bali could run smoothly.

"What is certain is that from the Ministry of Youth and Sports side, for example, our organizers are responsible for ensuring that it runs smoothly, as I always say cross-sectoral coordination between the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Provincial Government and also the organizers is always running," concluded Dito.
