Rianita explained that the potential for high sea waves is not only around Kotabaru, but throughout the southern waters of Kalimantan Island and the surrounding Java Sea.

He appealed to barges, fishing boats, and ferries to always be vigilant when crossing the sea level in the next few days.

In addition to the southern waters of Kalimantan Island, BMKG also predicts high waves of up to 2.5 meters in the waters of the eastern Java Sea with wind speeds of 5-20 knots from west to northwest.

Then, the potential for sea waves reaches 1.5 meters in the waters of the eastern Central Kalimantan and the central part of the Java Sea with wind speeds reaching 20 knots to the northwest.
