Cambodia's 2023 SEA Games Draw Results Football: Indonesia's Great Opportunity To Qualify For The Semifinals

JAKARTA - The 2023 SEA Games draw in Cambodia for soccer has been completed on Wednesday, April 5. From the draw, Indonesia has a great chance of qualifying for the semifinals.

The drawing format carried out at the 2023 SEA Games is slightly different from before because the entire team is only divided into two pots. Indonesia is in pot two along with Thailand which in the previous edition won a silver medal.

Where the first pot team consisted of defending champions, Vietnam and the host, Cambodia.

From the draw, Indonesia's chances of winning gold at the 2023 SEA Games can be wide open. The reason is, this time the opponent that must be faced by the Garuda Squad is quite easy.

Indonesia is in Group A with the host Cambodia. That way in the group phase the Garuda squad will avoid tough opponents such as defending champions Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Later, the two top teams in the group phase of the 2023 SEA Games will qualify for the semifinals. Group A winners will meet Group B runners-up and Group A runners-up will meet Group B winners.
