Different Fates Of Two Valentino Rossi Students In MotoGP Argentina: Bezzecchi Champion, Bagnaia Falls

JAKARTA - Cyclist VR46 Racing Team, Marco Bezzecchi, ended this week sweetly. After climbing the second podium in the sprint race, Bezzecki then won the full MotoGP Argentina race, Monday, April 3 in the morning WIB.

He stole his first MotoGP trophy by becoming the fastest in the race on the wet track of the Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit, Argentina.

Based on official MotoGP statistics, the Italian racer recorded a total of 44 minutes 28,518 seconds. With this achievement, Bezzecchi won 25 points and is one of the competitors to watch out for this season.

In this race, he finished in front of Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac) who was 4.085 seconds adrift. The pole Sitter Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing) won the third position with a time difference of 4.681 seconds.

The fifth and sixth positions are filled by Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac) and Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM) who are 9.746 seconds and 10.562 seconds, respectively. While Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) slowly finds his momentum to rise and finish in seventh position.

Furthermore, there are Bezzecchi teammates, namely Luca Marini, and Alex Rins (LCR Honda) who complete the list of the top nine, with each difference of 13.694 seconds and 14.327 seconds.

Surprise not only came from Bezzecchi. The defending champion, Francesco Bagnaia, fell at Turn 13 on the last few laps. The rider who is familiarly called Pecco then got up and unfortunately had to finish the race in 16th position.

This time, the Argentine GP race was arguably quieter considering that a number of drivers were absent due to injuries. In total, there are only 17 racers participating in this Grand Prix.

Hours before the race started, the Repsol Honda (HRC) team announced that Joan Mir had to miss the injury he suffered after the Sprint race on Sunday WIB.

Previously, Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo) was also reported to have suffered a shoulder injury while crashing with Marini in the Portuguese GP Sprint session, Saturday, March 25.

In addition, the crash involving Marc Marquez (HRC) and Miguel Oliveira (CryptoDATA RNF) also forced both drivers to focus on their recovery and miss the Argentine GP.

Then, there is also Pol Espargaro (GasGas Factory Racing Tech3) who suffered a fracture during the second free practice session of the Portuguese Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, the riders' standings is currently led by Bezzecchi with a total of 50 points. He managed to shift Bagnaia's dominance, which currently collects 41 points.

Furthermore, Zarco, Alex Marquez, and Maverick Vinales complete the top five list.
