JAKARTA - Manchester United has been sold. The Glazer family stated that they were looking for investors for their club, even willing to let it go.

This was conveyed by the Glazer Family in November 2022. After that, they have not received any offers, although several names have been linked.

Most recently, someone has made an offer to buy a club nicknamed the Red Devils. He is British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Ractliffe has stated his intention to buy Manchester United and has conveyed his desire to the Glazer Family, sources have told ESPN.

He became the first party to openly declare his intention to buy the Red Devils. The plan, Ratcliffe will make a formal offer next February.

"I can confirm that we have formally entered into this process," a spokesperson for the billionaire told ESPN.

Ractliffe is the owner of the chemical company INEOS. He is the richest man in England with assets worth 9.8 billion pounds (IDR 182.6 trillion).

He is indeed known as a fanatical United supporter since childhood. In October, he revealed that he had met Joel and Avram Glazer, but these two said they would not sell MU.

Now, they changed their minds. According to some information, the family is trying to sell MU at a price of 6 billion pounds (IDR 111.8 trillion), as reported by Antara.
