Apri/Fadia Walk Smoothly into Denmark Open 2022 Round of 16

JAKARTA — Women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti easily qualified for the last 16 of the Denmark Open 2022.

Certainty was obtained after they carved out a victory over representatives of Estonia Kati-Kreet Marran/Helina Ruutel 21-16 and 21-9 at the Jyske Bank Arena, Odense, Wednesday, 19 October.

The pair who won the Vietnam SEA Games gold medal became the fourth Indonesian representatives to reach the second round of the seven representatives who had already played.

Previously, three tickets for Indonesia have obtained in the men's doubles of Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and the men's singles Jonatan Christie.

Ahsan / Hendra are the first representatives to ensure that they qualify for the round of 16 after carving out a victory over the Chinese Taipei pair Lee Jhe-Huei / Yang Po Hsuan.

After The Daddies, Jonathan followed. The owner of the 2018 Asian Games gold medal in Jakarta won with three games of hard work against the host representative Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus.

Then Fajar/Rian won over the Dutch pair Ruben Jille/Ties Van Der Lecq to follow. Meanwhile, the three representatives who were immediately eliminated were Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, and Zachariah Josiahno Sumanti/Hediana Julimarbela.

There are still several Indonesian representatives who will compete after this. Among them are Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.
