Messi Equals Ronaldo's Record In The Champions League When PSG Beat Juventus

JAKARTA - Lionel Messi is the fourth player to have appeared in 19 editions of the Champions League. The nick was obtained when he helped Saint-Germain (PSG) beat Juventus.

Messi's number of appearances is now only one point adrift of Iker Casillas' record, which has a record of appearing 20 times. Although one point adrift, Messi's record has matched Cristiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs who has also appeared in 19 editions.
