Thomas Doll Sewot When Michael Krmencik's Performance With Persija Jakarta Is Questioned

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta coach, Thomas Doll defended the performance of their foreign player, Michael Krmenčík. He asked that the performance of foreign players like Kemayoran should not be discussed.

Michael Krmenčík is indeed in the spotlight. That follows the appearance of the player who has so far only scored one goal in six matches with Persija Jakarta.

Brought in for a fantastic transfer value, Krmenčík's presence in the team is expected by the supporters to bring about a change. However, the former Slavia Prague player has not yet performed optimally.

Krmenčík's situation made the player start to be compared to former Persija Jakarta striker Marko Simic, who proved to be sharp during his uniform for the Capital City team.

"You know, we are sitting here after a fantastic game. But you asked about Krmenčík. Why not Andritany? Kudela? We don't need to talk about Krmenčík now", said Thomas Doll after the match against Persita.

"I'm happy with him because he gets a lot of chances. That means he's in the right position", continued the coach.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach feels it is not good to be criticized for being directed at one player, especially the foreign legion. According to him, Persija is a team where they complement each other.

"I think the talk about foreign players and why players don't score should stop", said Thomas Doll.

"Why doesn't anyone ask why we often lose the ball? Those who do that are not foreign players. I don't think it's good. Krmenčík has fought for the team", he continued.

Krmenčík's performance is believed to be back in the spotlight when Persija Jakarta faced Arema FC in the seventh match of the 2022/2023 Liga 1 competition. The meeting will take place at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, Sunday, August 28 night.
