2022 MotoGP Standings: Bagnaia Returns To Enliven The Championship Competition After Winning At British Silverstone

JAKARTA - Ducati rider, Francesco Bagnaia, is again enlivening the 2022 MotoGP title competition. This is thanks to the victory he won at the British Silverstone Circuit, Sunday, August 7th.

With an additional 25 points, Bagnaia is now collecting 131 points. He is 49 points adrift of Fabio Quartararo who is at the top of the standings.

Quartararo himself achieved unsatisfactory results. The Yamaha rider only finished in eighth position in the race in England.

Meanwhile, Aprilia Racing's Aleix Espargargo, who finished ninth at Silverstone, now has 158 points. He is 22 points adrift of Quartararo.

In the British MotoGP race, Bagnaia won a fierce battle with Maverick Vinales from Aprilia. The two of them were even involved in overtaking.

Bagnaia said this victory did not come easily. Throughout this weekend, Ducati had a hard time with their rear tire.

"But the team did a good job. I think this is my best win because this race was not easy, we were very overwhelmed," he said.

Bagnaia's victory was more complete for Ducati after Jack Miller finished on the third podium. Moreover, the fourth and fifth positions are also filled with Ducati satellite riders, Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martin.
