JAKARTA - The Indonesian U-16 national team will undergo the final Group A match of the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup against Vietnam. The following is the complete schedule of the matches.

The duel of the two teams will take place at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Yogyakarta, on Saturday, August 6 tomorrow. Kick off the match starts at 20.00 WIB.

Currently, the Indonesian squad is in high confidence after a massive 9-0 win against Singapore in the second group match on Wednesday.

The result made Muhammad Nabil Asyura and his friends topped the temporary group standings. This means that if they wait for Vietnam, then Indonesia will automatically win the group and qualify for the semifinals.

However, the Bima Sakti coach did not want his team to relax in the final match. The reason is, that Vietnam is also one of the strong teams that can trouble the Garuda Muda squad.

"For the match later we have to be more vigilant because Vietnam is a good team. Hopefully, the players can recover quickly. We have two days of recovery", said Bima Sakti on the PSSI website.

Indonesia has collected six points so far or the same as that collected by Vietnam. Just like Indonesia, Vietnam also successfully defeated Singapore and the Philippines in the previous two matches.

Despite having the same collection of points as Vietnam, Indonesia's chances of qualifying for the semifinals are easier because they are still superior in goal productivity. In addition to winning, a draw can also take Indonesia to the top four.

Even if you lose to Vietnam, there is still a chance for Indonesia to enter the semifinals. The Red and White Team could qualify as the best runner-up which was won by three teams from three groups.

However, with a record number of points and goals, Indonesia must be better than the runners-up in Groups B and C. So far, Vietnam is still the best runner-up, followed by Thailand and Myanmar.
