JAKARTA - The Indonesian women's U-18 national team was showered with bonuses after winning their first two matches in Group A of the 2022 AFF U-18 Women's Cup which took place in Palembang.

Quoted from Antara, Monday, July 25, The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) General Chair Mochamad Iriawan gave a cash bonus of IDR 75 million for the success of the women's U-18 national team defeating Singapore 1-0 last Friday.

Then, Indonesian Women's Football Association (ASBWI) Chairman Nadalsyah awarded the same amount of money because the young squad "Garuda Pertiwi" was able to beat Cambodia with a score of 1-0 last Sunday.

The PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi is rumored to be offering a bonus if the women's U-18 national team flounders Vietnam. Then, if you succeed in silencing Thailand, the bonus comes from the U-18 women's national team manager Akhmad Gunadi Nadalsyah.

The Indonesian women's U-18 national team now leads the standings in Group A of the 2022 AFF U-18 Women's Cup because they managed to reap six points from two matches.

Against Singapore, Indonesia's winning goal was created by Claudia Scheunemann. Meanwhile, against Cambodia, Sheva Imut's single goal from a free kick in the last minute of the match saved three points for Indonesia.

Next, Indonesia will test the strength of the two toughest competitors in Group A. The "Garuda Pertiwi" squad will fight against Vietnam on Tuesday and Thailand on Thursday (July 28). The two matches were held at the Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium, Palembang.

Nine countries participated in the 2022 AFF U-18 Cup. In Group A there are Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand, in Group B there are Australia, Myanmar, Malaysia and the Philippines.
