JAKARTA - Formula E racer, Stoffel Vandoorne admits that he can't wait to appear in the 9th series of the tournament which will be held at the Ancol Circuit, Jakarta on Saturday, June 4 afternoon.

Arriving in Jakarta before race day made Stoffel Vandoorne more or less begin to adapt to the environment and weather in the northern part of Jakarta. Based on this brief experience, the driver from the Mercedes EQ manufacturer said hot weather would be one of the challenges that must be conquered.

"I've been to Jakarta before and it's usually very hot and humid here, so this (hot weather) will make the race even more challenging", said Vandoorne during a press conference ahead of the race at the Ancol Circuit, Friday, June 3 afternoon.

Apart from admitting that the weather will be a big challenge for him, the Ancol Circuit, which is a new circuit, also makes Vandoorne completely unaware of how typical this track is.

“Furthermore, it is a completely different circuit. I don't even know what it's like at the moment", Vandoorne continued.

Although he said that the inaugural race at the Ancol Circuit would be very challenging and full of puzzles, Vandoorne also admitted that he was very ready and couldn't wait for race day.

"So far, I don't know what will happen and how this (circuit) will be, but I'm looking forward to it and the important thing is to focus on the performance of the car later", explained the former driver who was once part of Formula 1.
