2021 Hanoi SEA Games Two Days Left, Indonesia Still Occupies Third Place

JAKARTA - The Indonesian contingent at the Hanoi SEA Games 2021 Vietnam won seven gold medals on Saturday and these results confirmed the position of the Red and White team in third place in the standings with 57 gold, 77 silver, and 68 bronze.

Additional gold for the Indonesian contingent came from Chess-Women's Team Blitz Chess through Chelsie Monica I Sihite and Ummi Fisabilillah. Next from Rica Nensi Warin Angin (shooting the Women's 10m Running Target), Nourma Try Indriani, Nurul Sofiah, and Rica Nensi Warin Angin (guessing the Women's 10m Running Target Team).

Next gold came from Andri Agus Mulyana, Joko Andriyanto and Mugi Harjito (Kayak-Men's Kayak four, 500 meters), Stevani Maysche Ibo, Ana Rahayu and Raudani Fitra (Kayak-Women's Kayak four, 500 meters). Next are Rahmat Erwin Abdullah (73kg weightlifting) and Sella Monim, Dayumin, and Riska Andriyani (Canoeing-Women's Canoe four, 200 meters).

By being in third position, the Indonesian contingent is relatively safe because the countries below it, namely the Philippines and Singapore, both collected 47 gold medals or 10 gold medals adrift. Moreover, the SEA Games will be closed Monday (23/5).

For the top position, the host Vietnam will not be overtaken by other contingents with 175 gold, 102 silver, and 104 bronze achievements. While the second position is Thailand with 75 gold, 88 silver, and 118 bronze.
