Start Second Then Almost Got Points In Moto3 Portugal, Indonesian Rider Mario Aji: I'm Too Insistent

JAKARTA - Indonesian racer, Mario Aji, almost got points in the Moto3 Portugal race, Sunday, April 24. He had to settle for finishing in 16th position.

Actually Mario Aji has a chance to get points. The Honda Team Asia rider started the race from second position after performing superbly in the free practice and qualifying sessions on a wet track.

However, when racing on a dry track, Mario Aji seemed to have a hard time. Although he had time to compete in the front row, his position slowly slipped to 16th position.

"It was a difficult race for me, but there were a lot of positives this weekend. Maybe the final position doesn't reflect it, but I'm happy with our work," said Mario Aji in a release received by VOI.

"At the beginning of the race, I remained in the front group. This is the first time I have fought them. But in the second part of the race, the rear tire decreased a lot because I was too pushy in the corners," he continued.

Mario Aji reiterated that he was happy with the achievements he achieved in Moto3 Portugal. However, it is undeniable that there are big obstacles to be overcome.

"We will be in front more often, we need time," said Mario Aji.
