JAKARTA - Persebaya Surabaya again failed to get full points in the continuation of the Indonesian League 1. Faced with Barito Putera, the club nicknamed Bajul Ijo had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

In the match which took place at I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Persebaya took the lead in the 64th minute. Samsul Arif's flick using Koko Ari Araya's cross, the goalkeeper Barito Putera couldn't stop.

In this match, Persebaya also received a penalty. Unfortunately, Taisei Marukawa's execution failed to produce a goal for Bajul Ijo. However, Aji did not want to blame the Japanese player.

"All players can fail", he said.

With this result, Persebaya's chances of winning are getting thinner. Bajul Ijo is now in fourth place with 59 points, seven points adrift of Bali United, which occupies the top position of the League 1 standings.

However, Persebaya has played one more game than Bali United. "This result makes our hopes for the championship very heavy", said Aji Santoso.
