Ahead Of Eid, Puan Urges Travelers Not To Rush On The Road

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, appealed to people who will go home to their hometowns or travel during the Eid holiday season to be careful and do not need to rush on the road.

This was said by Puan ahead of the peak of the homecoming flow welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.

"To all Indonesian people who will go or return home, we urge them to always maintain their health," said Puan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 25.

"Be careful on the way, there's no need to rush. Make sure you're physically in good health. Don't forget to also eat and rest enough while on the way," he continued.

According to Puan, vigilance needs to be increased on the way, considering that currently some parts of Indonesia are still facing extreme weather. He hopes that people can enjoy friendship and gather with their families at the moment of Eid al-Fitr in a happy atmosphere.

"Hopefully it will arrive in his hometown safely and return from his hometown and safe," said Puan.

Furthermore, Puan asked all stakeholders to be able to continue to guard and maintain the safety of travelers during the trip. As well as prepare all needs, rest areas, and so on during this homecoming journey.

"So the facilities needed by the travelers are indeed maintained and available," said Puan.

In the plenary session closing the DPR session today, Puan also emphasized the importance of the Government's readiness to face Eid al-Fitr, including ensuring price stability and the availability of food and fuel supplies.

Puan also reminded about the readiness to fulfill the toll road minimum service standards to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of toll road users ahead of Eid homecoming.

The PDIP legislator also asked DPR members to use the recess period to meet and stay in touch with the people and report the constitutional tasks that the DPR has carried out. Moreover, said Puan, this recess period also coincides with Eid al-Fitr.

"On behalf of the leadership of the DPR, we also congratulate you on welcoming Eid al-Fitr. Sorry to be born and trained to all Indonesian people," concluded Puan.
