BP Haji: PPIH Don't Make Officer Status For Nebeng Naik Hajj

BANDA ACEH - Deputy Chairperson of the Hajj Organizing Agency (BP Hajj), Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak reminded Hajj Organizing Officers (PPIH) not to make their status a route for riding or riding pilgrimages, but to focus on serving pilgrims.

"My message is not to become an officer or supervisor to be seen or naik hajj. The intention is to be wrong," said Dahnil Anzarzi Banda Aceh, Wednesday. March 19, reported by ANTARA.

Dahnil made this statement when closing Technical Guidance (Bimtek) of the Hajj Organizing Officer (PPIH) of the Integrated Flying Group (Kloter) of Hajj Embarkation Aceh (BTJ) 1446 H/2025 M at the UPT Hajj Embarkation Dormitory Aceh, in Banda Aceh.

He said the intention of an officer or Hajj supervisor needs to be straightened out, so that the reward and benefit are obtained. Therefore, his intention must really be responsible for guiding the pilgrims. Thus, the service is maximized.

"So, I remind you again to straighten out your intention. You have to be a real hajj officer and guide. God willing, the reward will be obtained," he said.

This intention to become an officer, he continued, is really important considering that this year's Hajj officers have decreased by 50 percent. So, the task of PPIH will be much tougher than in previous years.

"Yesterday only 4,200 people throughout Indonesia, especially now it has decreased to 2,100 people. Therefore, I hope that the Hajj officer from Aceh really becomes an officer," he said.

Regarding services from Acehnese Hajj officers, he continued, it is very important, considering that Aceh is an important symbol, and must be an example for Hajj officers from all over Indonesia.

"I hope that Aceh can become the epicenter of the future hajj implementers. Moreover, when we handle (BP Hajj). So, we want to make sure the meaning of the Veranda of Mecca (Aceh's nickname) must really be realized," said Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak.
