The Duren Sawit Police managed to arrest four robbers who occurred on the East Flood Canal Line (BKT), RT 08/11, Malaka Jaya Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta on Thursday, December 26.

"We managed to arrest four perpetrators with the initials MI, MM, MR and MAE who were children in conflict with the law (ABH) who committed the violent theft. The perpetrators of MAE, who are ABH status, are currently being entrusted to the East Jakarta social institution," said Duren Sawit Police Chief, AKP Sutikno when confirmed, Monday, December 30.

Meanwhile, from the results of the examination of the four suspects, they admitted that they were looking for the victim's target in the BKT Duren Sawit embankment area. The perpetrator ABH with the initials MAE is a resident of Cibitung, Bekasi.

"The victim and her boyfriend were sitting on a motorbike and then these four perpetrators. Then they took the motorbike occupied by the victim," he said.

When the robbery took place, 2 of the 4 perpetrators stabbed the victim.

"The male victim suffered a fatal wound to his hand. Meanwhile, his girlfriend's finger almost broke off. Currently, the victim is being treated at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta," he said.

In addition to arresting the perpetrators, the police also confiscated 2 sickle blades that were carried out to stab the victim.

"Large and medium sickles were confiscated. Two motorbikes were confiscated which were used by the perpetrators to commit crimes," he said.

As a result of his actions, the four perpetrators were charged with multiple articles related to robbery and beatings.

"They were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 9 years in prison and coated with Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of 12 years in prison," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a pair of lovebirds became victims of robbery while making love (dating) on the East Flood Canal Line (BKT), RT 08/11, Malaka Jaya Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

The incident began when the victim with the initials N and CV dated in a dark place without lighting in the area on the edge of the BKT River on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at around 01.00 WIB.

Victim N and CV sat on a Yamaha Aerox motorcycle driven by N, his girlfriend.

After seeing the target, four perpetrators carrying sickles came close to the victim. One of the perpetrators came down and pushed victim N to the ground.

Then the other perpetrators came swinging sickles at the victim and slashed the victim on the back 3 times. Victim N tried to fend off with both hands until they almost cut off.

Meanwhile, CV, N's girlfriend, was also stabbed by the perpetrator on the finger until it almost cut off.

After seeing that victim N was helpless until his hands were almost cut off, the perpetrators fled leaving the victim carrying the victim N's Yamaha Aerox motorbike.
