Police Open Fire When Duren Sawit Residents Judge 2 Motorcycle Thieves

JAKARTA - Two men who stole a battered motorbike were judged by the mob at Klender Pier Street, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. The two suspects were arrested after a chase after successfully stealing the victim's motorbike around the location of the arrest.

Apart from being given a raw bogem, residents who arrested the two motorcycle theft suspects also conducted a search. Residents found the L letter key and a stolen motorbike.

Residents were annoyed by the actions of the two perpetrators so that the two of them had to be beaten by the masses. Even the arrest of one of the perpetrators who rode a motorbike was quite dramatic.

The perpetrator tried to escape by breaking through the crowd on the streets, but finally the perpetrator fell after several residents managed to pull out the perpetrator's clothes.

"This perpetrator stole my motorbike in the garage. The perpetrator pushed and fled," said Ruli, the victim to reporters, Friday, December 27.

Although he managed to escape with the stolen motorbike, the victim who knew his motorbike had been stolen tried to catch up to the perpetrators. As a result, the two perpetrators were caught by the masses.

"I borrowed a motorbike, finally I chased the perpetrator," he said.

The judiciary action was finally suppressed after the police from the Duren Sawit Police came to the scene.

The police were forced to fire fire into the air to reduce the increasingly brutal mass action.

The two perpetrators and evidence were then taken to the Duren Sawit Police for further processing.
