Mysterious Drone Appears Every Night At US Air Base In Ramstein Germany

JAKARTA - A mysterious drone appeared at the United States (US) airbase in Ramstein, Germany, in recent weeks, this information was reported by Spiegel magazine citing a secret report by German security authorities.

The report mentions the large number of drone events which on the nights of December 3 and 4 at the airbase.

Security sources to Reuters confirmed reports of drone sightings in Ramstein. Germany's Ministry of Defense declined to comment on the report.

Germany's intelligence chief has warned that the country's support for Ukraine in its war with Russia has targeted possible sabotage attempts, and recent security incidents in military barracks are increasing concerns.

Spiegel also reported an unexplained drone sighting at the German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall and the BASF chemical industry.

"BASF's site security is our top priority," a company spokesman said in an emailed statement.

"Therefore, we always monitor suspicious activities and cooperate with the relevant security authorities," he added.
