JAKARTA - Nely (19), a Pondok Bambu gas station employee who was the victim of a fuel dispenser engine explosion, is still undergoing treatment at a clinic in the Pondok Bambu area, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta on Thursday, December 12, evening.

From VOI's observation, Nely's hands were bandaged due to burns.

According to Nely, the explosion occurred suddenly after he refueled into one of the cars.

"After filling up the car's gasoline, putting the nozel into the dispenser immediately exploded," Nely told reporters at the clinic.

Nely suffered burns to her hands and face due to a burst of fire from the exploding dispenser.

"Yes, the fire immediately spread to the face," he said.

Seeing the fire in the fuel filling dispenser, Nely also took the APAR with the condition of his hand being burned.

"The fire did not get bigger because it was directly sprayed with fire extinguishers," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the explosion occurred at the Pondok Bambu public refueling station (SPBU), Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Thursday, December 12, evening.

The incident occurred while the refueling activity (BBM) was ongoing.

As a result of the explosion, 1 gas station employee suffered burns due to sparks.
