Anticipating Christmas And New Year's Holidays, Maluku Provincial Government Adds Crossing Ships

The Maluku Province Land Transportation Management Center (BPTD) added one ship for the inter-Island shipping route Galala - Namlea, ahead of the Christmas and New Year's (Nataru) holidays.

"We have added a fleet at the Ambon Galala Port to Namlea," said Public Relations and Publication Data Processer of the Maluku BPTD Mohammad Fausan Salatalohy, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 27.

He said the addition of the ship had been approved by BPTD and had been prepared at the Galala Ambon Port to operate.

"BPTD has issued a sailing permit for the ship. So initially we had two, now we have one, so it's three. And coincidentally, the three ships in Galala belong to three different companies," he said.

He said the ships came from PT ASDP, namely KMP Wayangan, PT. Multi Guna Maritime, KMP. Maritime Guard 05 and the new ones were added from PD. Panca Karya, KMP. Tatihu.

"Why is there an addition of ships, because we anticipate a surge in passengers ahead of and this Nataru day," explained Fausan.

He admitted that there would be a possibility that the ship's operating schedule at Galala Port would also change if there was a buildup of passengers. Meanwhile, the schedule is still the same," he said.

He ensured that with the preparation of the three ships, inter-island travel during the Christmas and New Year holidays went smoothly and safely.
