President Joko Widodo Witnessed The Oath Speech Of The Temporary Chairperson Of The KPK And Appointed The Governor Of Riau

President Joko Widodo is scheduled to witness the temporary oath of office of Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Nawawi Pomolango, at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday 27 November.

Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 116 of 2023 has been signed previously, which includes the temporary dismissal of Firli Bahuri from the position of Chairman of the KPK and the appointment of Nawawi Pomolango as his successor.

"Tomorrow morning (Monday), it is planned that there will be an agenda for the Oath/Promise of Mr. Nawawi Pomolango as the interim chairman of the KPK in front of the President," said Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana in a short message in Jakarta, Sunday night.

In addition, President Jokowi is also scheduled to inaugurate the Governor of Riau Province at the State Palace on the same day. Acting Governor of Riau, Edy Natar Nasution, will be sworn in as the definitive Governor of Riau. The government continues to take steps to ensure stable and effective leadership in various institutions and regions.
