Police The Perpetrator Of Domestic Violence Wife In Pekanbaru Has Been Detained By The Regional Police

PeKANBARU - The Profession and Security Division of the Riau Regional Police made a special placement (path) or detention of an individual member of the Pekanbaru City Police, Brigadier RRS, who was suspected of committing domestic violence (KDRT) against his wife.

"The person concerned has been on the agenda from November 22 to December 6, 2023," said Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police, Kombes Hery Murwono, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 24.

Investigators from the Riau Police Propam are still processing the domestic violence case allegedly carried out by the RRS Brigadier. For this, the victim Yuni appreciated the quick action of the Riau Police Propam.

"I really appreciate the quick action of the Riau Police Propam which has processed the RRS Brigadier for his actions," said Yuni.

Yuni said that she would coordinate with the Riau Police Propam to continue to follow up on the progress of the domestic violence case.

"I will continue to coordinate with Propam, hopefully in the future this process will run smoothly so that it can provide justice to victims," he said.

It was previously reported that the Samapta Pekanbaru Police personnel with the initials RRS was suspected of committing domestic violence against his wife, went viral on social media. The video of the alleged domestic violence carried out by the police officer with the rank of Brigadier is known to be circulating on social media.

In the uploaded video, a woman whose lips were injured and bleeding and showed a damaged cell phone and a statement letter. The upload also shows a photo of an officer who is said to be on duty at the Pekanbaru Police Samapta Unit.
