Room At The East Kalimantan BPJN Office Sealed After OTT KPK

BALIKPAPAN - A number of rooms at the East Kalimantan Road Implementation Center (BPJN) office on Syarifuddin Yoes Street, South Balikpapan, were sealed by the Corruption Eradication Commission, after a hand arrest operation that took place in Paser Regency.

According to ANTARA's monitoring, Friday, November 24, the office, which is under the authority of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), appears deserted and only a few employees and building guards can be seen.

The sealing of the room at BPJN is known from the confession of a number of employees who are still working.

Information from a number of employees, the room that was sealed was the head of the field, apart from other spaces.

Recognition of the employees, they can still work as before even though there is an OTT from the KPK regarding the office.

The KPK has secured a total of 11 people along with a sum of money and other evidence from a hand arrest operation (OTT) carried out in the East Kalimantan region.

"We have secured 11 people. The KPK team has secured a sum of money and other evidence," said KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron.

He explained that the OTT, which was carried out on Thursday (23/11) at around 13.00 WITA, was related to allegations of corruption in the procurement of goods and services.

"KPK has carried out active arrests in the East Kalimantan region at around 13.00 WITA on November 23, 2023," he added.

However, Ghufron has not disclosed the names that have been secured, the exact location of OTT, the nominal amount of money, and the details of other cases regarding the OTT.
