11 People Netted By KPK OTT Undergo Intensive Examination At The Red And White House

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested 11 people in a hand arrest operation (OTT) in East Kalimantan Investigators are currently examining them intensively.

"Currently, the arrested parties have arrived in Jakarta and the team is being investigated at the KPK's Red and White Building," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in a written statement, Friday, November 24.

Ali has not yet detailed who was caught in the silent operation which was held on Thursday, November 23. He only mentioned that there were state officials from the East Kalimantan National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) and a number of private parties.

BBPJN East Kalimantan is the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) responsible for organizing national roads in the province.

"Arrest this hand on suspicion of bribery to bribe the implementation of the procurement of goods and services sourced from the APBN and/or APBD in the East Kalimantan Province in 2023-2024," he said.

"Currently, the KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the status of these 11 people. "Developments will be conveyed," he said.

As previously reported, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, said that there was also money found in this OTT. The amount was not detailed but around hundreds of millions.

"The KPK team secured a number of money, other evidence and several parties suspected of being perpetrators and witnesses of corruption in the procurement of goods and services," Ghufron told reporters in a written statement, Friday, November 24.
