JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono gathered all sub-district and village heads in Jakarta to brief them ahead of the 2024 election campaign period. One of the directives emphasized by Heru to his subordinates is to maintain neutrality during the general election stage. "Ahead of the election, be careful we are all ASN, including me. I have never ordered various kinds. Only one, ASN rules are neutral. There are rules," said Heru at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, November 22. Heru reminded that ASNs are prohibited from posing photos with a fingerprint that resembles the serial number of election participants and uploaded on social media. The uploads of these ASNs, said Heru, were monitored by intelligence agencies. The ban on this pose has also been contained in a joint agreement letter (SKB) of five ministers and heads of institutions in September 2022. "The photo has been regulated, there should be no similar or the same sign (with the serial number of election participants). The village head is monitored at the farmost," explained Heru. "Yes, we have worked. If we are neutral, it's good. Come, sit, sit, work, help residents. Clean up work programs. Understand, yes," he added.

Then, Heru also asked the head of this regional apparatus to monitor points that are prohibited from being a place for the installation of campaign props (APK) for election participants. If you find any billboards, banners, posters, and tubers in prohibited locations, the lurah and sub-district heads must coordinate with the Satpol PP ranks to remove them.
