7 Immigrants Stranded In Pidie Aceh Allegedly Escape

BANDA ACEH - Pidie Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Aceh stated that as many as seven of the 196 Rohingya immigrants who landed on the Kalee Gampong Batee beach, Muara Tiga (Laweung) District, Pidie Regency, were suspected of escaping.

"Seven people who fled after landing on the beach are men," said Pidie BPBD Chief Executive Muhammad Rabiul, in Pidie as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 14.

M Rabiul detailed that the 196 Rohingya immigrants were 61 adult men, 69 adults, 27 girls, and 32 boys, and seven people fled.

That is, because seven people have disappeared from the group. So the remaining Rohingya refugees from the group that were stranded today only 189 people left.

Previously, the Rohingya immigrants were stranded on Kale Beach today at around 11.30 WIB using a large boat made of wood.

After this, they will be taken to a temporary shelter in Mina Raya, Padang Tiji, and combined with other Rohingya refugees who have already been evacuated there.

Before being taken to the refugee camps, they had already been checked by the Health Office, said M Rabiul.
